We returned from our 21 day camping trip to Michigan's U.P. What a fantastic part of the country. The Jeep was great, the scenery magnificent, and the companionship first class. I highly recommend it to anyone with even an inkling of desire to travel and camp there. We drove a lot of back roads passing through as much of small town America as possible, drove miles and miles of dirt and gravel roads, and camped every night but two.
I need a day or two to perform post expedition maintenance on our gear then I'll start right in on preparing the Far Reach for her next voyage.
I know they are not sailing photos but I attached a few photos of our trip to share the beauty of MI and the Appalachians. The highlights were the Keweenaw Peninsula, some spectacular scenery down Michigan's west coast, small town Ohio-- Route 108/109--back country SW Virginia, all the National Forests (but especially Pisgah in NC).

Looks like a great trip, John. I especially like the shot of Eagle River Falls. I'm not much of a camper--boating is enough "camping" for me--but it almost makes me want to do some camping again.
Smooth sailing,
Jim

Now you need to sail over to the sweet water Seas. Best wilderness cruising this side of the Pecos.
