I came across this page and it has a number of Cape Dory models that have been restored. May be of interest to some of you. There are a number of beautiful classic plastics that he has worked on.

Tim Lackey is a magician and the Zen Master of fiberglass boat restoration. I'm glad you found his site He has a world wide reputation. Most sailors with classic plastic boat are very familiar with his website.S/V Ethan Grey wrote:I came across this page and it has a number of Cape Dory models that have been restored. You can spend months reading through his build and restoration logs.
I have learned tons of boat building, fiberglass repair, and 12v electrical techniques from him. And unlike some other well know internet boat "experts" he keeps things simple and reasonable.
James Baldwin of Atom Voyages long ago labeled his website "boat building porn."
If it can be done to a fiberglass boat Tim has done it.

My own Arietta is one of the boats on Tim's site. He did a beautiful job. For more, see the thread on Arietta's Winter Refit (http://www.capedory.org/board/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=38046).
Smooth sailing,

I have followed Tim for years but not recently. Good to see he is still there. I remember reading about his first boat .. I think it was a pearson vanguard.

Glissando. It was a Albert designed 28' Pearson Triton. Extremely well documented rebuild. It's still on his website.gonesail wrote:I have followed Tim for years but not recently. Good to see he is still there. I remember reading about his first boat .. I think it was a pearson vanguard.
