Port light gaskets ?

Port light gaskets ?
It turns out we are in need of port light gaskets. Is there anywhere we can source them with a quick turnaround?
I know this has been covered many times but time is of the essence. Sorry.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you are not inclined to fabricate your own from EPDM bulk cord.
.....or if you are.

I went with the Spartan, they are very dense and very pricy. I probably won't ever have to replace but I think I would make my own. Install with quick weather strip glue.

I seem to recall someone on the board made a jig for cutting the cord and it was being shipped around to those in need.

Re: Port light gaskets ?
Yes, Steve Laume made an excellent jig, which I used to great advantage when fashioning my port light gaskets from the bulk material from McMaster-Carr. Unfortunately, I have already given away my excess gasket material.
If you choose to go this route, contact Steve. He'll send the jig to you, and you should send it back to him immediately after you use it, so other Cape Dorians can use it, too.
The hardest part of the whole operation was removing all of the old gaskets and getting a bright, clean frame to accept the new gaskets.
Good luck!

Re: Port light gaskets ?
Thanks for the thread. It sounds like a good thing to have handy even if the gaskets aren't leaking presently.
Anybody have an idea what the gasket material diameter is for a CD 25D? Does all the CD port lights use the same diameter gasket?
Thanks,
Tom

Re: Port light gaskets ?
I've got a 25D, and I used the standard gasket from McMaster-Carr, along with Steve's template. So, I'd say that all the Spartan port lights take the same size.
