There is a thread on the forum somewhere about cruising guides to NE/Maine. I could not find it. I’ve been thinking….. Yes, I know…scary.
Can the brain trust make some recommendations regarding useful guides?
Thanks as always….

Re: Recommended Cruising Buide to NE/Maine?
Our guides for south of Maine are a bit dated, so I'm not sure what is current but for Maine you want this one:
https://www.mainecoastguide.com/
... and like most cruising guides some info changed even before it hit the book shelves.

I carry several cruising guides onboard for New England and wouldn’t be without them:
Maptech Embassy Guide — New England Coast.
It covers Block Island, Rhode Island to the Canadian border.
A Cruising Guide to the Maine Coast, by Hank and Jan Taft, Curtis Rindlaub.
It covers the coastal waters of Maine only.
Maptech Embassy Guide — Long Island Sound to Cape May, N.J.
It covers New York Harbor to Block Island, Long Island's South Shore, the Hudson River, and New Jersey's coast from Raritan Bay to Cape May.

As a former contributor and editor for the Maptech Embassy Guides, I'll admit I'm prejudiced--but they are thorough. And the company is based in New Bedford.

Thanks much. So it sounds like the Taft book and the Maptech are the way to go.
I’ll get right on it.
