PM's Broken?

I attempted to reply to a PM and the reply just comes back to me. I don't think it is actually going to the intended user. I then just tried to send a PM (not reply) to the same user and again it came back to me.

Well it seems that Melissa can send me PM's but I can't send any. I can post on the board with no problems.

Someone pm'd me recently and I thought I replied, but my reply is showing up in my "outbox" rather than in the "sent messages" box, causing me to wonder if the message is in limbo or if it was sent and won't move to the sent box until after the recipient reads it.

Anyone know?
