On my MD7A I have a small Diseal leak at the advance mechanism bolt. I replaced the aluminum rubber washer but the leak is still there
When I bought the washers they sent me three different types
I used the aluminum rubber washer because that was the type that was in there
The other two are copper type
The injector pump is CVA model 32220F70
Any help would be appreciated
See attached pictures
Thank you

Re: MD7A Diseal leak
Switch to the copper compression washers. Note, they are not intended to be "reused"...

Re: MD7A Diseal leak
Hi- I think you meant to say the advance mechanism is on the right in the picture, not the left. Yes,
if there's nothing else that can cause that leak, try the copper washer. Use the torque recommendation
in your manual, or if there isn't one, look up the bolt size in a torque table.
The general recommendation is to throw away the copper compression washer and get a new one if
you ever loosen the connection. However, a frugal yankee will reuse the old one by annealing it. Heat it to
a cherry red and plunge into cold water. That will "re-soften" it. Good luck - Jean

That’s going well beyond frugal and entering the realm of parsimoniousFrenchy wrote:However, a frugal yankee will reuse the old one by annealing it
Even I have never reused a crush washer.

Re: MD7A Diseal leak
Yeah, Jim, we're pretty parsimonious around these parts. I save junk mail envelopes for making shopping lists
and you know those frozen fruit bar sticks? My doctor cleans them for tongue depressors. Much cheaper than
the store-bought ones.
