Fuel stabilizer for outboards has come up before. The real culprit is ethanol. I have easy access to non ethanol fuel. So not too much of an issue for me at the present time.
As a motorcyclist I am a fan of F9 YouTube channel. Lots of great info. They recently did a review of gasoline fuel stabilizers. Excellent info that might be valuable to those wanting to know more about fuel storage issues for outboard engines. They do a great job of explaining how fuel stabilizers work, and don’t work, and which products prove to be the most effective.

Also check out the app called “pure gas” which will tell you the closest location for you to find ethanol free fuel.

Re: Gasoline Fuel Stabilizer
Have used Sta-bil for years on cold-stored landscape machinery and motorcycles. I always dump gasoline out of small plastic gas tanks as you might find on smaller outboards. Then I run the carbs dry. Larger metal tanks get a dose of Sta-bil followed by fill-up to the top to help eliminate air and condensation
That is a good analysis of available fuel stabilizer products.
