Cape Dory 31 Will Soon Be Listed For Sale

My Cape Dory 31 Surprise will soon be listed for sale after 23 years of great sailing and loving care. I will discuss asking price via private message for now, before multi, brokerage listing. Below please find an upgrades and maintenance list. Equipment inventory will be included in listing. The Cape Dory 10 dinghy in the photo does not convey.

This Cape Dory is a two owner boat kept in freshwater of the Northern Chesapeake since new. When manufactured, she was the best equipped model of her size in the Cape Dory line-up and was delivered with every available option using high quality components from major manufacturers, most of which still supply parts and service. This boat has served a cruising family since 1997 with light use and constant upgrades.

Upgrades, Maintenance Update List

Re-powered with a new Universal 25XPB 3 cylinder diesel, new cutlass bearing, prop shaft, stern tube installed as part of re-power 2005;
New custom interior cushions (Seafoam green white piped fabric, two layer foam) 2010;
New stainless steel water heater 2015;
New North mainsail 2015;
New main, jib, genoa and spinnaker halyards 2016;
All mast, boom, cabin top mounted and cockpit main winches serviced 2016;
Exterior teak wooded and refinished in varnish 2016
Hatches and portlights re-gasketed 2015-2019;
Mast unstepped, all standing rigging checked, fittings updated and reinstalled 2018;
New freshwater system pump 2018;
New custom canvas hatch dodger and sail covers 2019;
Spartan seacocks serviced as needed 2019;
Head pump rebuilt/reconditioned 2019;
Cabin sole finish refreshed with varnish 2020;
New 110 genoa, maintained by North Sails, 2000;
Minor hull blister repair completed years ago, barrier coated and ablative bottom paint used during current ownership;
Equipped with bronze porthole screens.
