It’s a 20 mile sail and well within a fairly predictable weather window. The first half pretty much follows the shore before it crosses Buzzards Bay. There’s plenty of opportunity to reverse course and go home.

Navigation is fairly straightforward and with few hazards. I’d worry more about reduced visibility crossing shipping lanes.

If you know how to sail, know how to reef, know how to anchor, and know the basics of navigation, this is a straightforward overnight. Choose weather that puts the wind and current abaft the beam and leave earlier rather than later.
Fair winds, Neil
