Well, it’s all over...All good here. We never lost power but many folks with Duke Energy did. We have a different power company and it’s amazing how much better our service is than Duke. Lots of wind at 0300. Not much rain overall in the east side of the hurricane. Had a tree down in the yard but already chopped it up and dragged to curb. As soon as we were up we drive to the boatyard. The Far Reach is fine. Still power in the boatyard. We got lucky. Big hurricanes start showing up Sept-Oct.

I hope all else have faired or will fair as well.

Weather Channel reported one, possibly two tornadoes on East side of Isaias. Any confirmation of that from the guy in the middle of it

Nah. Word is he slept through it waking only briefly to a big gust of wind before returning to a perfect passage to the Azores.....

Just for the record.....I spent the night on Orion and came through unscathed. At 3:45pm it was blowing 48.6 knots (55.93 MPH) and 5:12pm it was up to 54 knots (62.14 MPH). We had some higher gusts subsequently but I was more interested in keeping an eye on Orion’s lines and fenders.
All damage in my boatyard was minimal. Lots of preparation and repositioning boats from the faces of the docks paid off. A group of us owners spent our time adjusting/adding dock lines and fenders to our neighbors boats. Thankfully things settled down by nightfall.

Well done Jim. A little extra efforts goes a long way. If more people put half that much effort into caring for their boats our insurance premiums would be significantly less I think.
