Hey all,
My Robinhood 36 didn’t come from the PO with any icebox trays. I can see some wood railings fore and aft inside of the icebox, and I’ve done some searching of the forum to find pics, but I’m not sure what they look like. Does anyone know if I can get them from a vendor somewhere?
Thanks.

Re: Icebox trays/dividers
I built my ice box from scratch and incorporated rails for sliding drawers Into the design. I glued 1/4 blue board together with a hot glue gun to make sure the dimensions were correct. You have to be able to the drawers in and out of the box!
Then my friend welded them up for me out of heavy gauge aluminum. They have worked out very well. I can’t imagine not having them.
So, my recommendation is to make a pattern and be certain the outside dimensions are correct. A place that makes aluminum fuel tanks can easily make them. Also, you might try a custom motorcycle shop. Those guys are very talented and take great pride in their work. I used a local custom motorcycle shop to weld up the SS heat shield for my refleks heater chimney and it was perfect. Very inexpensive too.
BTW—some folks advocate putting holes in the drawers to improve cold air circulation. Terrible idea. You want anything that spills in there to remain contained in the tray.

I’ve used something similar. It’s an IKEA storage product called “Kuggis” which is a hard plastic with a a shiny surface and comes in several sizes. I use them as organizers within the fridge. Real easy to keep clean.

Re: Icebox trays/dividers
The ice box on Raven has one teak divider that runs fore and aft 6" or 8" from the drain side. Then there is a little clear plastic and teak shelf way up high in back that holds butter and and egg carton. It looks like there are provisions for more shelves and it would be interesting to know how it might have been planed, Steve.

A converted ice box . To call it a refrigerator would imply my handiwork was on a par with a professional conversion.kerrydeare wrote:Jim, whatsa "fridge" (humor)?
