Weepy keel

Just finishing a two year refurbish of my CD 330. Yesterday we bottom painted in preparation for getting her back in the water. This morning I noticed two weepy wet spots on the keel towards the bow and about 6 inches from the bottom of the keel. Anyone have any ideas about how to figure out what this is and how to fix it. She has not been in the water for 2 years and it makes no sense to me what is going on. I did not look today but the last time I looked the bilge was dry as a bone.

Hard to say without photos. Could be just liquid under the old bottom paint or a minor blister. Our hulls weren't known for blisters but they do occur. I would grind, grind it out, let dry, fill with epoxy and paint with whatever your schedule is for the rest of the hull. Or just paint over till next time! :)

As a follow-up here are pictures. One area on each side of the keel. More information - the bottom was soda blasted and barrier coated 2 1/2 years ago. The yard that did it said there were very few blisters and they supposedly fixed them. Any help is greatly appreciated

it almost looks like something was rubbing against or hit the keel v blister. especially given fact it was same area on both sides.

That looks like some water might have entered the encapsulated area above the lead in the keel. There may be a slight void in the lay up and it has found it's way out above the lead. I would look for cracks in the bottom of the bilge where water might be entering. You could also drill a small hole at the site of the leaks to see if there is a void and how much water comes out. Both of these areas could be repaired with epoxy before you launch. If you do find the source of entry and can repair it then I would mark the spot and drill out the weep points when I hauled again to let things dry out over the winter and to be sure that you found the leak, Steve.
