Just wanted to know if anyone out there knew what the equivalent of a cape dory c-30 would cost new today.

A year or two ago one of the major sailing magazines suggested that for a high quality production boat, $10/lb. would be a reasonable estimate. You might look at some of Bob Perry's estimates in Sailing to see if these figures still hold.

For a true replacement value, get a survey done by a reputable surveyor! I had mine done last year when i purchased my 28CD, and because of the goodies the former owner added in the past two years, he came up with a figure of $125,000!!
A good surveyor also gives you an idea of what is needed to make your boat really safe!! Worth the money by any means!!
