looking to install this new, ie i don't have an existing hole for this...
it's a 2" Buck Algonquin deck fill with a 2 7/8" OD flange, my 3" hole saw doesn't look like it will clear the bend on the flange completely. other than buying a new 3 1/2 hole saw (don't want to spend $$)... any other thoughts of a less messy approach?

Since it's just a short bit that needs to be larger, why not do the 3" saw and then camber the edge by hand? Shouldn't be to difficult with a rat-tail file. Plus you will have a better fit to bed with butyl rubber.

Or taper the edge of the 2 7/8” hole with a router....if you have one.

Re: Deck Fill install question...
Do not cut an over sized hole to accommodate the radius.
You could use a burr bit in a drill or a round over bit in a router, to make the radius. Don't forget to dig out the core and fill it with epoxy.
