Tropical Storm Cristobal

Post by Sea Hunt Video »

Captain Hook, Mike and all interests from Texas to the Florida Panhandle should keep a "weather eye" on this system.

I know that Cristobal is not forecast to travel near South Florida. However, this is already the third named system and its only 02 June. :!:

I am going to restart my search for a home in Wyoming, North Dakota, Montana, etc. :D

Mike, sadly, it looks like you will still be "sitting on the edge" for a few more days. Want to go "halfsies" on a duplex in Montana :?:

Roberto, Thanks for the offer... but being a true 3rd-generation native Floridian, Montana would never work.
Hell, I spent 14 years in Atlanta before getting early parole (allowed to tele commute) and that was too damn far north for me.
I like it hot & sunny with good sailing water and just deal with the rest as best I can.

Hopefully, this dude will be a minor annoyance for all.

Captain Hook and Mike:

It looks like landfall tomorrow afternoon/evening as TS (50+ mph). As you know, NHC is very good at predicting direction/path of storm; not so good at predicting storm strength along the continuum.

You and all others along Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida panhandle will be in my thoughts.

Roberto,
All is well, but wet, here on Nola.
Storm was more of a rainmaker than a wind generator.
I went out to the Lakefront (Pontchartrain) yesterday and it was windy with waves breaking over the sea wall, but not really all that bad.
Thanks for your concern.

Roberto,
Pretty much the same here at GGYC. Lots and lots of rain. Winds weren't too bad BUT they drove in a LOT of water from the bay into the bayou. GGYC is has had about a 4+ foot rise. We'll have lots of trash to clear out once the winds subside and the water drops.
