Poem for today

Post by moctrams »

Ramon the Poet (Raymond Hartmann)

If I had my druthers
Then I'd rather be sailing
Not by rail nor by air
For me it is only boating

The open waters call
To the Helm I am drawn
Both exciting and calm
Afloat daylight to dawn

The Wind at My Back
With the sails fully blown
The hull slicing the waves
Best experience I've known

Raymond,
I like your poem. It's a good one to remind me that sailing season is just around the corner.
Fair winds,
George in Setauket
