Winter Woes

Post by Paul D. »

I can hear Walter shouting at me, "Do you see what happens Paul? Do you see what happens when you store your boat near Lake Superior?"

We've had some heavy snows this winter. My buddy and I did a secret ninja trip to the boat to remove several hundred pounds of snow and Ice from the shrink wrap and patch a couple holes before the spring rains. Every type of boat cover had ice, and we worked on several of them, all Cape Dories of course.

Hey you southern sailors. Just sayin' - RESPECT. :)

Paul,

That's a painful picture.

It's 40 and 50 degrees around here. I was painting the aft lazarette yesterday and will be installing a brass rub strip today. Then scraping more varnish. Long to do list with a little bit done every day.

Hope you thaw out soon.
