Soon to be Tropical Storm Nestor

Post by Sea Hunt Video »

Just when we thought we could stand down from DEFCON 3 to DEFCON 1 for "H" season 2019, along comes "Nestor". Alabama (POTUS may yet get his "Alabama TS" :!:   ), northern Florida, GA, SC, NC and VA are all in Nestor's projected path. Yikes :!:

Hey Roberto!

I'm just shickled-titless that we had a front come through and cool down the Gulf waters a bit. Otherwise, it could build to a lot worse.
This mess just means I won't be riding my m/c to work on Friday or Saturday.

Are you kidding me? Nestor makes an X over us when crossed with Dorian.

Here is the latest advisory from NOAA/NHC on Nestor. Strength has doubled to 60 mph sustained. It will probably loose some of that as it crosses Panhandle of Florida, GA, and SC. The "big bend" in north Florida is going to get clobbered (technical, meteorological term) by Nestor, including parts hit by Hurricane Michael (Cat. 5) October 2018, like Mexico Beach. Very sad.

Thanks Roberto. This track shows it going right over our house and then the boatyard. I’ll sure be glad when this hurricane season is over.

Members frequently post their favorite photos of their sailboat, a sunset, etc. This is one of my favorite "photos".
