Typhoon Weekender - For Sale

Post by seriously4000 »

Cape Dory Typhoon Weekender. Solid boat. Hull Number 858 - I think that puts it mid 80s, but I'll double-check here within CDSOA.

Sails are new-ish and very crisp. Main and Genoa. CDI Roller Reef on the jib. Built-in bilge pump.

Nearly new trailer in excellent condition is available separately for $1400.

1980s Johnson 6HP, serviced & winterized every year, is also available separately for $300. Sure, the motor is old but that's when they built them right. It starts every year, rain or shine, with 3 pulls or less. If you don't want it as part of the package, I'm happy to keep it.

Heavy duty 'mooring cover' made by The Sailors' Tailor, bought in 2016 is $500 ($805 new.) Great cover for winter use and you save big bucks on winter shrink wrap.

Bronze motor mount, sail bags, sail cover, bumpers, dock lines, cushions, life preservers, boat hook, etc etc, are all included. This is a solid package, with all the proper accessories, priced right...
Also listed on Ebay if you want to see more photos. Search on Ebay for: 'Cape Dory Typhoon'

I've been sailing the boat this summer and took her across Buzzard's Bay and Vineyard Sound in 2' to 4' seas and 20 knot winds & she handled it with ease and confidence.

She's ready to go and on a mooring on Martha's Vineyard. Happy to assist with delivery logistics.

My first Typhoon was #1583 and I had her in the mid-70s... Yours in definitely a bit older...
They made a LOT of Typhoons in the early years.
