I replaced my Typhoon Senior's mast in 2015. Started down the road with Rig-Rite, but they were amazingly unresponsive (others attested to similar experiences with them), so I ended up getting a very nice mast from Dwyer, virtually identical to the original and they were super easy to work with.

RR may have changed hands since then, perhaps the customer service issues have been addressed. But it was as dysfunctional a business in that department as I've ever seen (and that's saying some!).

I have had great experiences with Dwyer on a couple of occasions. They changed hands and moved to RI about a year ago so you will not be dealing with the same people. The last item I bought from them was a boom extrusion. It was identical to the original except for a very slight difference in the way the sail track was designed. They should have no problem supplying you with a mast extrusion, Steve.

I did purchase a mast from Dwyer -- purchased by Zimm -- and their service was v good. Also used them for new spreaders w the same level of service.

Would recommend them.

I heartily agree on Rig-rite. It took weeks and many phone calls (with lame "it's going out today" responses) to get 2 car tracks! I think they are either severely understaffed or they just don't care. Their motto should be "We're not happy until you're not happy!"
