I got the 2-1/2" drum and I think I got the windvane working good. I used it all afternoon on several points of sail. I see what they mean by really needing to balance the sails.. I got a referral form the sail loft of an instructor. He will go out with me Tuesday. I need to figure out a way to quick connect the lines on the drum. I just put a half hitch for now. I see they misspelled Cape Horn on the vane

Outstanding! Well done. I hope you rewarded yourself for such determined perseverance.
You’ll continue to refine the vane set up for a while. It takes some time to really learn how to use it well.
