Last year I installed an ML-2 deck/steaming light as part of my mast re-wiring project. Following the wiring diagram....Black wire is ground, Red is steaming, and Blue is deck light. Simple and using my triplex wire it was connected accordingly.
So...I’m finally getting around to drilling thru the deck, etc to run the wiring..did a sanity check with my meter to check continuity for both lights. Well in doing continuity check...the blue wire seems to function as ground as black to red didn’t work but blue to red worked, and blue to black worked....
I wonder if the screwed up the wiring at the factory...
Of course I didn’t finish the project as my butane torch I use for heat shrink tubing doesn’t work...
Oh well, time to just go sailing...
