CD27 - rudder post greasing?

Post by csoule13 »

One part of my boat I haven't spent much time working on is the rudder post. Poking around, it seems like it comes up through a fiberglass enclosure up to the connection to the tiller, with no ability to get any grease or other lubrication in there. Is this normal SOP or am I missing something here? Is this a regular maintenance item that I've been missing?

And man, it was nice to get the first sail of the season with crispy new sails this weekend.

Thanks as always,
Chris

Indeed. No thoughts on grease and the rudder post though?
