I needed a simple part from Spartan Marine, they couldn't have been nicer and more accommodating.
One phone call, they picked up right away and bent over backwards to help. They shared it's us and
Robinhood marine that they service, bronze portlights are not in demand by modern boatbuilders.

I attended the Nautical Yard Sale at Robinhood last April and was part of a small group who were given a tour of Spartan by Neil Collins. Wonderful small machine shop with product visible at all stages of completion from castings to finished product awaiting shipment. Enough to give any bronze lover heart palpitations...

Re: Spartan Marine ...the good guys
During my recent rebuild I replaced a few Spartan original items - although most of the original parts were fine after being cleaned up a bit.
They are very nice guys ...
I did replace my seacocks and would dearly have liked to have used Spartan (their hardware is such a part of what is special about CDs), but the Grocos were just less $$ significantly, and I think equal quality.
I added Spartans midship toerail cleat/chock and can now do proper spring lines ... later this year I'll replace my port seals and I think I'll just get the precut seals they supply just to send boat $$ their way.
