Mast plate dimensions

Greetings,

Purchasing a CD 27 and while the mast is down I want to install a mast plate for future turning blocks. The boat is not close by and I need to know dimensions of mast step to order the mast plate. Garhaur has one that has dimension of 5.5 inches by 3.75 inches. I think that would fit.

Anyone have dimension of step or think that would fit? I could order the next size up but I think it might interfere with wiring going through the deck to starbord of mast.

Walter, I think your boat's mast is a CD-4 cross section, 4"wide by 6" long outside dimensions. The mast step for that
section, shown on the Rig-Rite site, looks to be about the same size or slightly larger. It looks like the bolts holding it down
are on the inside, creating a smooth transition from the mast side walls to the outside of the step.
Hopefully, someone with a CD 27 can give you a more definitive answer. - Jean

Dwyer Mast also sells halyard plates if they are still in business. The DH 2890 fit my CD25D just right.

If you can’t find a mast plate that’ll work with your boat’s set up, you can install a mast bail near the bottom of the mast instead.

You can just make out the two bails, one forward and one aft, at the base of Realization’s mast.
