got my assymetrical for Typhoon Weekender fractional rig in my specified colors from Linthicum Sails in New Jersey. been too long ago to remember the price. works nicely and is well made. i think they are still in business. Have also purchased two mainsail covers from them.

Where are you located. I got my asym from a fellow on Kent Island in Maryland. He was the sailmaker for the Naval Academy fo 40 years. Reasonable price, good recommendation from another dory owner, unfortunately, I have not set the sail yet. Surgery interfered with sailing last year.

I'll promote Precision Sails yet again! They were awesome to work with and very reasonably priced (especially during their November sale period!).
I ordered new sails for KAYLA after I bought her the second time (long story...) and messed up on measuring the size of the main luff slides. After a few back & forth emails and pics, they sent me a pre-paid shipping label to return the sail and built me a new sail, all at no charge!
That is maximum customer service in my book.

Just ordered from FX The sail store, wanted to buy from Prescision but they were a couple hundred dollars extra for the whole package with turtle and sock plus more color choices. Can't wait!

First and foremost I’m not throwing shade on this choice, but it should be understood by prospective customers that this is an internet business with no brick and mortar presence on U.S. soil.

That's also true about Precision... they're based in Canada but I have no idea of where their sails are made,,,
BUT... I do know their customer service is truly *AWESOME* even when the problem was caused by the customer..

Where are you located? It’s best to use a local sailmaker. Anyway, I purchased a new one for our CD32 from UK Sailmakers in NY many moons ago.

I agree with using a local sailmaker. You can end up with problems and great to have them nearby to fix them. I bought one set of sails online (CD25) and the next local (CD30: main, jib, staysail). I learned a ton about how to set them up by talking with him about how I sail. He also really knew the local weather and talked me out of a few ideas I had and into something much more practical, a larger genoa out of heavier fabric. I should really have a lighter asym for July and early August days but that's next on the wish list.
