Mikey, Mikey Mikey, "Always with the negative waves"

Right now, my cousin is TDY to Guam with a Cat. 5 (165+ mph) typhoon bearing down on Saipan, Rota, Tinian and Guam. Hopefully, Yutu will pass a little north of Guam but the "dirty side" is projected to pass directly over Rota. Pacific typhoons have a crazy habit of "zigging and zagging" (technical meteorological term); not sure of cause.

Fingers crossed for my cousin and all interests in the Marianas and, of course, my beloved Boston Red Sox :D :D

You have to take notice of a hurricane that hits Mexico on the Pacific coast and reforms itself to end up in New England as a nor'easter.
Could have an impact for sailors along the gulf and the entire east coast.
A few days earlier or later, it might have also had an impact on Roberto's beloved Red Sox.

My cousin reports that the eye of Typhoon Yutu went directly over Tinian and just a little south of Saipan with sustained 180 mph :!: I doubt there is much structure left on Tinian except possibly the casino.

As history buffs may recall Tinian was the jump off point for the two atomic bomb drops on Hiroshima and Nagasaki that ended WW II.

On a very bright note, my beloved Boston Red Sox won game 2 of the World Series. GO BOSTON :!: :!:

We keeping this thread alive so that us Sox fans have a place to congregate? Definetly hope the weather remains storm free for our CD owners on the west coast, and of course, so they can see a Sox WS title on Sunday. Go Sox!

Thank you Carl :!: You are a good friend.

I did not want to say anything to that hooligan "Michael" :D  about his disrespectful and narrow minded observation.

My beloved Boston Red Sox will endure, persevere and prevail :!: :D :D :D

Since posts on this board are supposed to be solely about sailing and/or Cape Dory sailboats, I received an email from Defender advising of a Fall equipment sale including items used for winterizing sailboats.

Red Sox v Dodgers 2-3 (18).

I have not felt like this since my favorite hunting beagle passed more than 55 years ago. It will be tough to come back from an emotional loss like this, but Red Sox Nation can do :!:
