this cheek plate has a recess that the bushing goes in. Can someone tell me if that is just wear or is that part of the design
Jim, I did neglect to mention I had to also drill out the center hole on the plate to 5/16 to accommodate the screw. My bad!I realized the two mounting holes in the cheeks were 1/4" while the old cheeks had 5/16" holes
The design calls for the bushing to be fixed between the base and the cheek plate so that the sheave turns on the bushing and the bushing does not turn on the screw. So key not to drill out the cheek plate any more than is necessary for the screw so as to leave enough plate to bear pressure on the bushing.
