Chartering on Chesapeake Bay

Post by terry moore »

I am looking to charter a Cape Dory on the Chesapeake Bay for a day sail and then a weekend sail. My contact is terry.moore@clarkconstruction.com

Have you tried any of the charter companies on the Chesapeake? There are quite a few. Most insurance policies do not permit chartering without a specific rider so it might be tough to find someone willing to do it without coverage.

Where in the Bay? Quite a bit of north/south and much depends on where you want to visit/ experience. Have you considered crewing with a member if it’s just yourself? Might want to address your experience with sailing and the Bay.
