Stayed in this weekend. I wish I had planned better with Garhauer for the mainsheet traveler. I don't like how the lines are running. It's the best I can come up with. Nothing is set pemanent just with sheet metal screws ( Stone would go ballistic for all the holes I made) When I set it permanently I will tap them into g-10 plugs, Hopefully I can make improvements as I go. I still need to run the main halyard back, Probably along the cabin or deck to the starboard winch. Maybe I don't really need to. I just want to be able to lower it to the reef point from the cockpit. The initial raising can be from forward at the mast. The reef lines are set up to reef from the end of the boom. I also painted the forepeak or chain locker and cut off all the long bolts for the windlass etc. I finished the starboard side lifelines with dyneema. The eye splice is so easy, at least the first one with both ends free. I had to redo the second 2,3 or 4 times to get the length to work. I had to make the eye big enough because the threaded stud has to pass thru the inverted loop ( see brummel splice or dyneema lifelines). They say dyneema is very forgiving. If I pick at the overworked strands enough with a awl I can get them back to shape. The hoses in the forepeak are sure ugly. but its not that easy or important to change them. I will try to clean them and pull them back out of view. I plan to paint the lazerette soon. I got it all cleared out. I hate that bilge pump outlet is right in the way on the starboard side . If I can move it over to the port side I will have a clear passage all the way around. It will be helpful to work on my steering. Those cam cleats came with the traveler. I'm not sure if I should use a clutch thing or the cleats on blocks like the originals. I'm would like to have the matching Shaeffer ones. It seems too sloppy. I would appreciate any 30K owners showing me how your lines are run. aft.

I wouldn’t sweat that dude. Sounds like you are working hard, thinking about what is the most achievable approach when there is no perfect approach and making progress.

Evryone has to figure out what works best for them. Good job.

This post prompts a general question about travelers. My CD 27' still has the original track and adjustable stops. Is it possible to just add an adjustable traveler on the existing track? I recall the post by Bill, in Oklahoma, that redid his system and he replaced everything, from Gerhauer I think.
