Registry Changes
Hi
do not know what else to do or address my request.
I bought my Cape Dory from an owner that has the boat registered and I have attempted to make the needed changes/updates on the registry.
Over the last month been trying and redirected but nothing seems to work..
Will appreciate any assistance.

Re: Registry Changes
Lots of questions, I'm afraid. What state are you in and what changes need to be recorded? Were you able to transfer the title (if your state requires a title)? And what reason were you given as to why the changes can't be made?

Sorry, I totally misunderstood "registry". Perhaps you could pm Cathy M. She would be able to answer your question. -Jean

Re: Registry Changes
I did ,been bouncing from name to name and I am sort of tired and frustrated, understand all members doing their task on a volunteer basis, also understand members are busy or sailing or both and do not expect any either response or acction immediately, however if nobody actually cares about this, well,be it.

GE Martha Lei
I notice from you last post that you are (I think, but not certain) a member (#1905) of the CDSOA. It should be noted that the CDSOA and the Cape Dory Registry listed in the banner above are two different animals entirely.
The registry was severely neglected for many years until a good Samaritan took it upon her/him self to convert it to an Excel file. Prior to that the registry was "self monitored" with no over-site from anyone and as I recall spam became a pretty big issue.
I no longer have access to the membership rolls but If you are a member of the CDSOA your boat information should be in the 2018 Membership Directory (depending on when you joined the CDSOA).
As you stated most of the volunteers associated with this website are out cruising. Bob D is somewhere in the Canadian Maritimes and Cathy M is in Maine (Mt Dessert Is this past weekend) cursing as well. I do not know who maintains the registry spreadsheet but hopefully someone will chime in with that information. However, that individual may well be out cruising as well.
It might be beneficial if you contact the Membership Chair for the CDSOA, Inc Steve Kuhar via a PM through this website. He might be of some assistance. But if the individual maintaining the CDSOA Registry is NOT a member of the CDSOA, he (Steve Kuhar) may not be able to assist you.
It should be noted that the CDSOA and the CDSOA Registry are two distinct entities and one has no "governance" over the other. I know this might be a bit confusing but if you will reach out to members of the current CDSOA Board of Directors they should be able to resolve your situation. If you follow this link http://www.capedory.org/contactus.html and scroll to the bottom of the page you'll find the names and emails for the current BoD, who may be out cruising as well. Failing that, if I can help please feel free to contact me. If you have the 2018 Directory, my Name is Bill Slater and my contact information in the directory is current. If you don't have the directory, then just send me a PM via this website with your contact information and I'll be glad to see if I can assist you.
Sorry for any inconvenience and stress this issue may have caused you and hope it gets resolved soon.

PS
Also, I do not have access to move this post to the Cape Dory Forum where it would receive much more attention. Perhaps one of the other moderators of the site will see this and move it.
Here is a screen shot of the registry that might help you request "edit permission" from the editor of the registry.

Bill
thank you very much, and yes Steve has been very responsive to my contacts, just received a mail from him and certainly I apologized to him for my recent "tantrum",as mentioned to him, this issue normally will not be an "issue" however my frustration got a boiling point caused by the constant delays due to weather (raining for almost 4 weeks) that stopped all my work trying to outfit Martha Lei to go cruising, and this was the perfect excuse to vent.
Bill,no problem, all is well, even old sailors have a childish moment!!!
take care
