Hello My Friends,
Maybe you have noticed that my CD22 is for sale. I'm going through the boat removing all the personal gear, cleaning and shining and so on to make her sparkle.
On the cabin ceiling, directly under the mast, there is an inspection hole with a teak cover. On one side of the inspection hole the fiberglass liner is slightly deformed as if a prior owner had something hanging from that location.
The inspection hole makes it easy to see the deck above which looks pristine. The issue is with the fiberglass liner only.
I was wondering if I could add heat to the area with a hair dryer or heat gun and then add pressure to the area as the fiberglass cools. Could I reform the fiberglass liner?
It really isn't too noticeable, so I don't want to try something and make things worse, but if I could flatten this back out it would be great.
Let me know what you think.
Thanks,
Gary

Re: Heat and fiberglass
Since you’re selling it I would leave it alone. In the event a heat gun doesn’t work it could make matters worse...
The good news is the fiberglass deck portion is bone dry. Mine is the same and ultimately that’s what matters most.
