1975 CD 25 in very good condition. New loose-footed, full batten main by Doyle. New 100% hank-on jib by Thurston. Cost of sails in 2017 exceeded $3000. Sale also includes 2013 Tohatsu Sailpro 6 HP outboard, also in excellent condition. Outboard costs over $1600 new. Boat is located in Marion, MA.

I sailed by this morning - a nice looking boat. Didn't you just buy this and sail it up from CT?

Yes, I bought the boat in May and sailed her from Barrington to Marion in late June (or was it early July...). She is a very nice boat and sails well. A few things happened, however, that caused me to think about putting her on the market. First, my grandchildren decided they didn't like sailing, and the primary reason for upgrading from a Typhoon to a CD 25 was to do some overnighting with them. I hope that someday they will change their minds, but for now they just don't want to go. Second, I had some unexpected difficulties with my motor that frustrated me to no end. It made me wonder if having a motor at all was what I really wanted. Third, I stumbled across a sweet daysailer that I'd love to own, but can't unless I sell the 25 first. That pretty much sums up my reasons for wanting to sell.

However, I am now inclined to give Mahalo another chance and sail her for the rest of the season with an open mind. The problem with my motor was minor and has been resolved, so I don't anticipate further difficulties in that area. The sweet daysailer will have to wait, alas, but some things in life are not meant to be.

That said, I will leave the posting up just in case someone is interested in my fine boat and would like to make an offer.
