Winter Cover

Post by dr2owen »

This winter I plan to work on repairing the the decks of Consort. I am looking for some ideas about the best way to build a winter cover for her so that I can get the work done that I need to before putting her back in the water next spring.

Good Old Boat had a great article about a year ago. The guy used pvc pipe to build arches. He built pvc “L’s” to hold the arches about 18” or so outboard os the rub rail, this gave him good ventilation and easy ladder access.
If I can find the article I will post a link.

PVC. EMT tubing. Wood.

Google is your friend and you’ll find a ton of different ways to build a frame. Key is having a good cover, not a cheap blue tarp.
