Finding a bronze anchor locker cap

Post by jeronay »

Good morning,

1984, 30 ft Cape Dory.

During Harvey I lost the bronze cap that sits over the anchor locker entry. It had a chain attached but it too is gone.

Do you know where I might find a replacement?

Parts like this were available for a very long time from Spartan Marine (ex-Robinhood, ex-Cape Dory, and now probably Derektor) in Robinhood ME. They usually post a catalog online.

If it’s the bronze cap about three inches across that has lips that extend down about two inches....I got a replacement at Fawcett’s in Annapolis in their “junk” pile of marine hardware....cost me about 10 bucks. 800-456-9151. Perfect match for my CD 30b.

I lost mine on my 31 last year and got mine at spartan marine like someone mentioned. they have at least 2 sizes make sure you measure. I did not and guessed and got it wrong and had to pay for the return and order what I should have.

I might have one that I don't need anymore. I'll check sometime this week
