CD 25 boom pin?

I'm trying to find a replacement pin for the "non-removable?" Pin which is located at the mast end of the main sail track on the CD25 boom. This pin goes through the sail eyelet hole in the foot of the main sail at the end of the main sail track next to the boom mast. Although a small pin in the end of this somewhat "L" shaped pin is supposed to prevent it's total removal from the boom, after you rotate it to pull it partially out of the boom to free the mainsail eyelet - the pin itself somehow disappeared while my boom was in it's storage loft over the winter. I feel dumb describing the pin at such length, but nobody seems to know what I'm trying to describe when I talk about it, what it's correct name is, or where you can source one like it?
Any help will be appreciated.

I think the pin you described is probably an integral part of a gooseneck assembly which is available from rig-rite.
You would have to figure out what Spartan boom section you have, then look under parts. This would be expensive.
The best fix I think is to replace with a clevis pin or a fast-pin, if you remove the main often. The fast pin has a shoulder on
one end like the clevis, but has a spring loaded ball that protrudes out of the diameter on the other end. The clevis pin
is more secure.

Below is a link to the Rigrite page showing the "CD2" Boom extrusion accessories which is probably the extrusion used on the CD25. I assume you are looking to replace the "tack pin". You might want to consider using something like a stainless steel quick release pin ( https://www.mcmaster.com/#standard-quic ... s/=1dhbn39) or even just a stainless steel bolt and nut if you keep your sail on the boom for the season.

My thanks for both very helpful and informative responses . I know know that the correct designation for my missing pin is a "tack pin" and, yes, is a captive item provided with a purchase of the boom gooseneck end cap. I'm currently using a bolt and nut as a temporary replacement and will try to find a better quick release option down the road.
