1983 Cape Dory Sloop, Jacksonville, FL $24,900

Post by Julie_Tijerina »

Offered for $24,900, reduced from $29,000. This 1983 Cape Dory 31 was designed by Carl Alberg and is production #2 of only 89 built between 1983 and 1985! She was originally rigged as a cutter, but has been sloop rigged for at least the last 7 years. She is powered with a 21hp Universal diesel engine.

"Ellie" has a bright, easy-clean, fiberglass deck with molded non-skid. She has lots of great teak details, including coamings, grab rails, and drop boards that give Cape Dory yachts their signature traditional look.

Above deck, the cockpit is covered by a custom-built, stainless steel bimini top with a new Isinglass dodger with canvas covers. At the bow, you will find a dual anchor roller, the roller furler, a pair of deck cleats and a stainless steel bow pulpit.

Below deck, you will find a charming, tidy layout. The teak interior is flawless and obviously well-cared for. The U-shaped galley is situated to Starboard, with the head to Port. The galley boasts plenty of stowage, a 2-burner stove and oven, top-loading refrigeration, and double stainless steel sink.

Moving forward into the salon, you will find built-in sofas on both sides of the cabin. Above both settees, there is ample stowage for books, gear, and any must-haves while aboard. The table amidships is a beautiful and simply engineered butterfly table that folds away when not in use. All of the upholstery has been updated and is in impeccable shape.

The v-berth is forward of the salon, and continues the traditional teak ambiance. Stowage is offered on the port and starboard sides, with drawers to port, and a hanging locker to starboard.

If you are in the market for a Cape Dory or comparable vessel, come see this boat! She will not disappoint! Seller is open to offers, so don't be shy!

Seller to provide $1,000 toward shipping.
