SB-8 Fuel pump question.

Post by jneely »

I am trying to bleed the fuel line to our SB8 engine after changing the primary and secondary fuel filters. However, when I turn the engine on I do not hear the usual tick tick sound from the fuel pump and when I loosen the bleeding screw on the top of the fuel filter no fuel flows. However, the engine starts up every time I turn the key and it has idled smoothly at the dock for 30 or 40 minutes. Any suggestions as to what is going on?

First I would determine whether the fuel pump is getting 12v to it. Good luck.
