Stand-Up Block Replacement

Hi,

Anyone know what the current Schaefer replacement part number is for the Spring Loaded Genoa Blocks on a CD30? The manual says the part number is 07-83 but that was a long time ago. Is it this?:

That one has the right sheave diameter but it says it's for a 1-1/4" track size while the manual says the track is 1".

My recommendation is go with Garhaurer... Great quality & good prices.
The "spring loading" is really not needed, IMHO...

The biggest one for a 1" track says it's for a max boat length of 27'. And the sheave size is smaller than what it came with. I'm using a 135 genoa. Any ideas on which exact block (including Garhauer)?

they are tricky to find in the Garhauer catalog because they are listed as "Low Lead Cars"... they have several for 1" track.
On my previous Allied Princess, I installed 2 pair on each side, one for the lead and the second as a turning block near the winch due to extra shrouds from the mizzen mast & life line stanchions. They were still less expensive than a single pair of Harken or Schaeffer blocks!

Now I am thinking about the jib cars. I struggle with knowing weather to get the 25s or 30s. This stuff makes the Schaefer products look like, expensive junk.

It was less than half the cost of the equivalent Schaefer version. And much better made I'm sure. I bought a rigid boom vang from Garhauer at a boat show. The build quality is amazing. I haven't installed it yet though.

I'd go with the series 30. The max line size of the series 25 is 3/8 as opposed to 1/2 for the series 30. Also the SWL of the series 25 is 1,150 as opposed to the series 30 which is 2,400 pounds.
