Finally became member after enjoying this website for a couple years, great info and stories. Shooting for launch for first week of May!!!

1985 hull# 27 will be sailing out of Portsmouth RI Bought beginning of December, interior woodwork sanded and varnished ,new nonskid new interior lights ,all exterior varnished 5 coats, new boot top paint and cove stripe and more!! 130 hours so far. Hopefully launch first week of May

Welcome! I just bought a Typhoon also! Did you do the awlgripping yourself? If so, which product did you use? I will be painting mine this spring. I also sail in Narragansett Bay! See you out there!

Thanks the boat is original gelcoat, compounded and waxed, new boot top and cove stripe interlux enamel. Awlgrip is nice but be careful of scratches , touchups are more complicated !! Can't wait for new season

Nice. I bought #11 a few years earlier. Did you do that upper stripe yourself? Not sure I've seen that detail before. Nice touch.

Did you reupholster your cushions? Mine still have the original smooth synthetic covers. Tough and spill-proof, but not as inviting or rich-looking as yours.
