Well done Zephia!! Congrats to Keith Bate & Crew! That's a great CD36 action photo too!

The classic yacht regattas are lots of fun. I run my CD36 Tiara in the Panerai Corinthian Classic every August. The old woodies that show up for these races are stuningly beautiful, but don't let the wooden spars, low sheers, and long overhangs fool you - many of them were designed purely as race boats back in their day and are surprisingly fast. I notice it's much more pleasant to be passed by something really beautiful, like an old New York 40, or a swift little Sonderklasse.

Here is a video of Tiara in last summer's Corinthian Classic: https://youtu.be/7c5dzFInEmc <-lots of fun!

Sailing involves the courage to cherish adventure and the wisdom to fear danger. Knowing where one ends, and the other begins, makes all the difference.

Another great video John, thanks for sharing. I saw 8 Meters, 12 Meters, a Concordia yawl.....some beautiful boats......including Tiara, of course.

Fun video, some of those boats were going backwards though! Nice that a breeze came up for the fleet. When not aboard my CD31 I help maintain and campaign the 1888 racing yacht Elf. See story and lots of pictures at: www.cyrg.org I'm posting this because of the comment about being passed by beautiful antique boats. Elf is wicked fast and surprisingly good in light air.

Waiting to re-step CD31 mast. We're lining up the animals two by two here in Chesapeake Bay area due to steady rain since Monday.

Cheers!
