Sea Hood Removal

I am in the process of refinishing the brightwork on a 1978 CD 25. The trim under the companion-way sea hood/hatch is particularly difficult to get at, and I've been considering removing the sea hood. Any suggestions for removing and reattaching? It looks relatively simple, but . . .
