My wife will be in the Bar Harbor Fine Arts Festival on the grounds of the Bar Harbor Inn, August 3,4, &5. Stop by I would love to finally meet and chat with some fellow CDSOA members. We will not have or 27 with us, but we can still meet for a beer and some Cape Dory talk.

Hi Tim & Leigh,
Don't forget that we'll be on our boats and without our cars. We'll have to check the shuttle bus schedule to see if it's doable -- and Joe's itinerary. I don't know what Joe has planned for the group while we're in Northeast Harbor. But it sure would be great if we could get together.

The buses don't run all that late. Maybe 6 or 7 PM. They cater to the Park visitors who don't go at night.
Meeting for lunch might be better travel-wise. The Bay Harbor restaurants can get crowded for dinner.
We'll be in Northeast Harbor on our 31 all summer and we'll have our car, so we could ferry a few folks to Bar Harbor. PM us and we'll send our email and phone.
Cheers!

Hi Bob,
Great trip you have planned!
Much good advice has already been tendered, so my bit is short and sweet.....
Take spares and the tools needed (some of my crew have commented that I had every tool known to man on LaVida, probably did. They came in handy when we did two transmission changes in a week! Still thanking Dick and Todd!)
We are also sailing into the maritimes this season. Leaving Jax,Fl on may 15. Will be stopping in NS, NF and points along the way toLake Ontario.
Let's try and hookup.
I'll pm you our contact details on Moonbeam, our Shearwater 45 Staysail Schooner .
Safe voyaging!
Mike
There's a really good novel about a few generations of Newfies living in, and leaving the "outports." A very good read that takes you from the Titanic to the present. It really delves into the challenges of simple fishing folks faced with very complex dilemmas.

Enjoy it if you can find it.
