Cape Dory Yachts and the Boston Red Sox
As many readers know, Cape Dory Yachts was located in Taunton, Ma. for many years and enjoyed a large production run of various sizes of sailboats and powerboats during its existence.
Interestingly, Taunton, Ma. is only a short 50 miles south of Fenway Park, Boston, Ma.
Fenway Park, as many may know, is the home of my beloved Boston Red Sox.
Today is MLB "opening day".
My beloved Boston Red Sox are playing the Tamp Bay Rays today in Tampa. The game starts at 4 p.m.
Once again, as we have done so many years in the past, my beloved Boston Red Sox begin their slow, methodical climb to the World Series Championship.

Re: Cape Dory Yachts and the Boston Red Sox
On a sadder note I saw that Rusty Staub passed away today.
He was a native of New Orleans. I think I read in the local online paper that he's the only major leaguer to have 500 hits with four different teams.

Tomorrow (Thursday) is the Fenway Opener. The cover is off the boat. All is right with the world.

Michael:
I know this is way off Cape Dory Yachts topic and perhaps the "administrator" will lock this thread but why do say "bummer" and drink Guinness
Boston won their home opener and are now 6-1. We have an exciting 3 games aways series with the Yankees next week.
GO BOSTON

Re: Cape Dory Yachts and the Boston Red Sox
Why? Because when I posted that, they where down 0-2 at the bottom of the 8-th... but, as I finally realized, the "game" I was watching was over hours earlier... hence, my follow-up...
Again, Congrats! Besides, if the Astros can win a World Series, anything is possible!

I am always in a quandary with this, the company that my daughter works for has a Boston owner as a client and therefore roots for the Sox, I however live in N.Y., therefore I just drink the Guinness.
