I always look for opportunities to save some money...
I'm rewiring my mast and replacing the antenna. Found a great deal on eBay sourcing tinned 2 and 3 line wires. Also a wiring source on the internet that usually services Ham Radio folks to get some RG-8X coax (tinned). It's black not white but who cares.. All wiring was half the cost of West Marine.
Picked up a nice Perko Bronze 3" deck plate, fitting and key. $55 on eBay $120 elsewhere..
Probably the best deal was my Shakespeare antenna...$85.00 at west $26.00 delivered from Amazon
Love the Internet! (But I do shop locally as well...)

Re: Saving money...
I dropped a cordless drill on my bulkhead mounted compass last season and smashed it. I found a replacement Ritchie bulkhead mounted compass on Amazon for $50 less than Defender. It pays to be smart about our purchases, even if we're not smart about dropping tools in the worst possible place.
