This sweet wooden sailboat just showed up in my neighbor's yard (he's away and I can't ask him). It looks to be about 22' LOA, full keel with attached rudder, gaft rigged sloop with wooden spars.
Anyone recognize this boat?

Looks a bit like a William Atkin design. I'm guessing it has/had a bowsprit so the LOA on paper might be more than it looks as it sits.

That looks very similar to a small sloop that was for sale along the access road to the Director/Robbinhood Marine yard in Georgetown, ME last summer. It did sell in late July and yes, we admired it each time we drove past it, a very pretty little craft. You could email them to see if anyone knows the designer or former owner, for everyone in the yard seemed to admire and comment on it.

I think the Atkins lead is a good bet, though he made a lot of different designs, it definitely seems in his style. I will investigate further when Ken gets home and report back! I know the interior has never been completed and may be a home built from Atkin plans. The quality of the build seems fine to me and all the wood appears solid. Am looking forward to helping rig it and get her launched in the Spring.
