I have a cape dory 28 and want to install solar panels on the bimini.
I am not with the boat now and would like to know what is the diameter of the bimini tubes so I can order the appropriate size gemini mounts e.g. 7/8 or 1 inch.

Your Bimini top was probably an after-market addition. Play it safe, and wait until you can measure.

Arch, Terrible gave you wise advise but if I had to guess, I would guess 1".
