Touch UP Paint Typhoon?

Post by shavdog »

Does anyone have a good color for touchup?..I have a 1975 typhoon weekender and the hull isn't exactly white...it has a cream hue to it...does anyone know of a color to match up with that....tia....

I filled in a couple of nicks in the gelcoat of my hull this spring with a gelcoat repair kit. I used the white pigment and a tiny, tiny pinch of yellow, and it came out pretty darn close. Not sure if this helps you or not!

Mini Craft in FL sells color matched gel coat in a spray can. I used some about 5 years ago and they were able to match my 1985 CD white. Other than my bad technique it has held up well and looks more and more like the factory every year.
