I am moving to Sudbury MA, (near Concord) and I am wondering where to put my Typhoon in salt water. Any sugguestions about Salem, Quincy, Hull, Cohasset, Beverly?

John:

Think about Narragansett Bay as well - East Greenwich on the west side and Barrington or Bristol on the east side. You may drive a little longer (or not, depending on traffic) but the sailing is outstanding and slips/moorings often much less expensive. I rent a mooring from Bristol Marine and have enjoyed it very much.

try hewitt's cove marina in hingham - also keogh's marine in hingham may have moorings in the harbor - boston globe may have ads - there are many little marinas in hull, neponset river, salem, etc. - from sudbury you will be driving at least 45 minutes i think - sailing in narragansett and buzzards bays may be better often but much further to drive - there may be marinas in east boston, and there is constitution marina in boston downtown but very pricey - feel free to email me with other questions

We're at Marina Bay in Quincy. No moorings there, so you'd have to get a slip. It's good sailing from there, as you have all of the outer harbor and the harbor islands to play around. It's only a couple of hundred yards to clear the marina and be sailing. And a good choice of restaurants at Marina Bay.
