Hi and happy Fourth to everyone.
I was attempting to launch my Typhoon Weekender after a couple years where it didn't see action. Had the mast stepped and realized the spreaders weren't attached. Brought it down and then while stepping it, went off axis and snapped one of the "ears" off the mast tabernacle. So it goes...
Need a new tabernacle (obv.) and see there are a couple on the forum, those sold currently by Rigrite. Unfotunately, they don't appear to match my current tabernacle. The boat is a '74 and the mast has a Schaeffer Marine sticker at its base. I'd appreciate any help/advice on what I need and where I might source it.
Here are a couple quick shots of my broken tabernacle:
Realize this is a terrible day to be seeking advice, just want to sail the boat.
Thanks,
Leif

Try Spartan Marine or Dwyer Mast.
It seems Rig-Rite has some long-standing customer experience issues...

Re: Weekender Tabernacle
Thanks John and Gary, I did see the two posted here on the forum, one of which is also on eBay. Those appear to be the Rigrite tabernacle, and the bolt holes are in different positions, from what I can tell, from mine. Otherwise the design looks similar, but I don't know if my mast will be compatible? Rigrite site only says that it will work for "later" Typhoons, without specifying what years.
I'd prefer to find a tabernacle that has the same bolt positions that mine has (not being experienced with fiberglass/related structural work), but I'm guessing that may be unlikely, in which case the Rigrite may be my best hope.
Thank you for the help.
